Sway

Children’s toys became very colorful, plastic and loud.

I asked myself how can I make a change and create an object which will be entertaining for children and useful for the adults. How can I combine those two different worlds. Give more importance to the ‘toy’ and give it a form which will speak for itself. I found something which both ( children and adults ) like. It is movement. On the beginning we know it as a cradle, then a swing, a hammock and finally a rocking chair.

Movement can be relaxing and calming but also fun and entertaining. 

I designed a furniture, which is a comfortable lounge chair and thanks to the unique and well balanced shape, it can be used as a seesaw. I chose to design this furniture in a minimalistic style yet using real wood and natural colors which bring warmth to the design and suits to open interior space and it is enjoyable in use.
